ABOUT ME
I began my career in the oil and gas sector and transitioned to the nuclear sector shortly after. I have work experience in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, and in the nuclear industry in Nigeria, England and Canada. In the past, I worked as a nuclear regulator and in a medical devices company. I am presently working in a nuclear operating and decommissioning facility.
In 2019, I commenced a part-time Ph.D programme in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management in the University of Alberta. My research focus will be on the integration of Quality Assessment Standards, Management Systems and Leadership in the development, commissioning and operation of Small Modular Reactors in the Canadian energy sector.
I enjoy volunteering and I am an advocate for community development. I am also a Toastmaster. In 2019, I received a Letter of Recognition from the Premier of Manitoba, Brian Pallister, for exceptional leadership and winning the Area Director of the Year – Rural Award, in District 64 Toastmasters.
